This is a small town romance set in Harlow, Minnesota. It is intriguing and emotional with a mafia twist and some possible triggers. The story is about Emilia and Blaine. Emilia is on the run for her abusive husband. She has filed for divorce but is trying to stay hidden from him. She runs into her ex-boyfriend and the man she once loved, Blaine. There is a lot to this romantic suspense but it develops very nicely. I enjoyed the story and really like the characters.

Sapphires and Secrets by Katerina Simms is a good, and enjoyable small town slow burn romantic suspense read. The story has a good story line. The characters are good, and they have good chemistry. This story is slow burn romantic suspense read with a twist. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
